Obsessed with Uggs

I am a big fan of Ugg boots! I wear mine every winter; I can't live without them. I have a pair of the classic ones and they are so warm and comfortable, my feet worship them. They are ugly, though, I will admit. So I was thrilled when I saw that there are some fashionable Uggs out there now!

I am beyond obsessed with these lovely clog-type boots. I mean, they are warm, comfortable and stylish... so what more could I ask for? Dream boots! I got myself a pair asap.

How (slow) was your weekend?
I'm happy to report that I didn't utter those horrid words - "hurry up" - to my son. Well, it did nearly slip out once but I managed to stop at "hurr-"! (so it doesn't count.)

I'm loving this outfit that Claudia Schiffer wore to a Chanel show. The over-the-knee boots in that colour (and not black) are stunning, the striped top is cute and I'm just swooning over that Chanel necklace! (I just wish she'd done something with her hair.)

Happy Monday! I'm now off to my yoga class :-) 

Slowing down

I rush around everywhere and am constantly telling my child to hurry. It's not good, I know (sigh). So this is what I want to try to do this weekend. Slow down. And go at his pace.

Power Plate challenge!

Ten minutes, twice a week, of standing or sitting on a machine that vibrates. That's all you need to do and you will be fit in no time. Doesn't that sound like a dream? Well, it does to me because I hate going to the gym and as much as I love yoga, I find that it does nothing for the figure.

I have been wanting to try the Power Plate for at least a year and a half now. I was always put off by how expensive it was, though. So imagine my joy when I found a studio that is offering four weeks (twice a week) at a really reasonable price and I (along with a friend) have signed up for it!

There are plenty of celebrities (Claudia Schiffer, Elle MacPherson, Gemma Arterton) and other famous people (Serena Williams, national sports / Olympic teams) who use it. See the list of high profile users here.

Daily make-up

Before the move, I put a few make-up essentials in a bag and packed everything else away. My make-up drawers don't have a proper home yet (they are in my wardrobe!) and I'm too tired these days to be that creative... so I've just been using these products... for an entire month (I'm shocked, this never happens)!

Face:

NARS Sheer Glow foundation in Stromboli

NARS Laguna bronzer

NARS Penny Lane cream blush - Very pleased with this! Adds a subtle flush. But doesn't always last all day.

NARS Orgasm blush - I sometimes apply this over the cream blush.

Eyes:

NARS Rajasthan eyeshadow duo - I still love this! Good thing I got a back-up! 
MAC Technakohl liner in Graphblack or
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in black - Fantastic eyeliner, doesn't budge, I have multiple back-ups of this!
MAC Zoom Lash mascara in black or
Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara in black

Lips:

MAC Patisserie (lustre lipstick) with
MAC Love Nectar (lustreglass lipgloss) - Peachy pink with some golden shimmer. Comes with a brush wand, which I like best. My favourite combination of MAC lip products.

Nails:
Chanel Rose Confidentiel (491) - I knew I wasn't going to have the time to look after my nails during the move so I stuck to a neutral dusty rose colour. 

I must go to Zara...

I've been looking for a faux fur vest and this could be it...

I like to wear dresses all year round. This one would be great with tights and boots.

I've always wanted a white winter coat.

 This hat is so cute, I love it with the ribbon.

I did get this camel coat the other day :-)

A happy Monday!

My week is off to a good start! Yoga first thing in the morning, followed by lunch with a friend. It's actually sunny today! It has warmed up considerably (the last few weeks have been seriously cold) and we sat outside, enjoying the sunshine. My lunch today was a yummy avocado-mozzarella-potato salad with bread and a coke.

Followed by strawberries and vanilla ice cream!
